One-Year Recap as FIU’s Official Photographer
I was a multimedia contractor for FIU from the beginning of the Fall 2018 semester, but on March 25th 2019, I started officially working as the in-house photographer for the fourth largest university in the USA. A year later, especially as I write this in the middle of quarantine, what I appreciate the most about my 9-5 is that every single day is different.
I might have four shoots in a single day – portraits of engineering students, photographing a panel discussion about immigration, walking around campus capturing students on their lunch breaks for social media, and covering a basketball game. Other days, I’m creating and editing videos for our different colleges. What I like most about what I do at FIU is the large variety of content there is to shoot.
Looking back at a whole year’s worth of photographs, these are by far my favorite.
